NEPALI SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

KCAC awards up to four six-month studio residencies a year to recent Nepali art graduates, providing studio space and a bursary for materials. The work made during the residency will be shown in a catalogued Scholarship Exhibition at the end of the residency.

The scholarship aims to help young Nepali artists by giving them the opportunity to work with a small group of carefully selected international artists exploring new ideas and pushing the boundaries of their work. The programme offers an exceptional experience well beyond the normal provision of studio space with access to our networks, individual career support, valuable one-to-one mentoring and many other opportunities.

Taking up a Studio Scholarship represents a pro-active commitment by the artist to use the time and space to develop and grow – a commitment that KCAC hopes to match, and enhance, with our resources, support and experience. Our unique approach combined with the skills and experience of our Directors provides emerging artists with support and access to the contemporary art world. Gaining a studio space at KCAC is an achievement in itself and creates a foundation for life long networks and career support.

If you are interested in applying, please send your CV and 10 recent images of your work to: air@kathmanduarts.org
